Shen Wong

Dr Shen Wong is a vascular, endovascular, and transplant surgeon at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private, and Northern Beaches Hospitals.

He treats the full range of vascular disease, with a particular interest in complex aortic aneurysms. After training in Sydney, the UK, and across NSW and WA, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and completed further training in aortic endovascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States.

Dan Nguyen

Dr Daniel Nguyen is a consultant vascular and endovascular surgeon holding a Bachelor of Science (Medicine), MBBS with Honours, a Master of Surgery, and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

He manages the full range of vascular conditions, including poor circulation, aneurysms, carotid disease, and diabetic foot disease, as well as venous problems such as varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, leg swelling, and ulcers, along with kidney transplantation and dialysis access. He consults and operates across several Northern Sydney locations, including Northern Beaches, Macquarie University, Norwest, and Penrith, giving patients flexible access to consultations and follow-up care close to home.

Dr Walid Mohabbat is a highly experienced vascular and endovascular surgeon who is also one of the co-founders of NBV.

With advanced training in aortic and endovascular surgery, which includes a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr Mohabbat brings a wealth of expertise to the management of complex vascular disease.

His practice spans everything from minimally invasive endovascular procedures to complex aortic repairs, with a strong focus on evidence-based, patient-centred care.

Dr Isuru Nammuni is a Specialist Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon and one of the founders of NBV.

In keeping with the ethos of NBV, Isuru is renowned for his patient centred approach to vascular consultation and surgery.

Isuru has clinical and academic appointments across Sydney and regional New South Wales as well as numerous special areas of interest which include minimally invasive management of aortic aneurysms and vascular access for haemodialysis.

Matt Adams

Chief Vascular Sonographer

Matt trained as a vascular sonographer in the UK and has built a career focused entirely on vascular ultrasound. He brings years of hands-on scanning experience to every study performed at Northern Beaches Vascular, leading our sonography team with a focus on accuracy and thorough patient care.

Matt has presented at multiple national and international conferences and has contributed to several published papers in the field. He's committed to keeping the team's practice aligned with the latest techniques and standards in vascular imaging.

Hannah Lord

Vascular Sonographer

Hannah is a highly skilled vascular sonographer with extensive experience in both Australia's and the UK's public and private healthcare sectors. Trained through the UK’S NHS Scientist Training Programme at King's College Hospital, London, she provides comprehensive vascular ultrasound services with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compassionate patient care.

Her special interests include abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) assessment and EVAR surveillance, supported by a strong background in clinical education and quality improvement through her work with Newcastle University and the UK National AAA Screening Programme.

Nicole Macdonald

Practice Manager

With many years of experience in medical administration and practice management, Nicole is dedicated to ensuring every patient receives exceptional care and service. 

As Practice Manager, she oversees the day to day operations of the practice, supporting our vascular specialists and sonographers while maintain the highest standards of efficiency and patient care.  Nicole is passionate about creating a welcoming, compassionate environment where patients feel comfortable, informed and confident throughout their healthcare journey.
